Interesting Fact: "I'm Coming Out," from Diana Ross's iconic 1980 album Diana, became an anthem of empowerment and individuality. The idea for the song came when producer Nile Rodgers noticed several drag queens dressed as Diana Ross at a club. Inspired, he and Bernard Edwards crafted this hit, not only celebrating self-expression but also marking Ross's bold departure from Motown to take control of her career.
